PUTTING THE PIECES TOGETHER [  DR. MICHAEL MINA FROM THE HARVARD T.H CHAN SCHOOL OF PUBLIC HEALTH;  GASTROENTEROLOGIST PROFESSOR THOMAS BORODY; HARVEY A. RISCH, MD, PHD , PROFESSOR OF EPIDEMIOLOGY, YALE SCHOOL OF PUBLIC HEALTH ]

As  of  August 10, 2020  I have not seen any report /evaluation   outlining the introduction and implementation of  a comprehensive testing/ screening strategy   that is low  cost  and   could be be easily administrated, on a wide scale, repetitively.

The closest I’ve seen  to the real-world possibility for this development was a  video presentation and an article by Dr. MIna of  Harvard Medical School. Dr. Mina  discusses exactly what has to be done and why under the current organization/incentive systems this is not being accomplished.

Dr. Mina’s  approach coupled  with  the utilization of immediately available, well understood air scrubbing  and  air movement technology (which would make the indoor environment equivalent to the outdoor environment ) can provide the low cost, immediate plan of action  that will enable an entire nation  to  rapidly reopen education, commerce, industry etc.

I strongly urge  that  the approach of air circulation enhancement plus simple, inexpensive, rapid reading test capabilities   plus  the immediate utilization and widespread  administration of  inexpensive, safe   medications such as Ivermectin ,or hydroxychloroquine,  or ??[ Months ago, the  University California medical school at San Francisco submitted a list of possible medications to the CDC. I  do not know if there has been any follow-up testing, I read in the popular literature of some drug being touted…. and then story  disappears.] be   quickly  explored as a  key  to rapidly  reopening    America's dynamic  society and restoring   America's robust economy.

1.Q/A on How to Fix COVID-19 Testing with Dr. Michael Mina: Cheap, At Home, Rapid Antigen Tests

MedCram - Medical Lectures Explained CLEARLY

Dr. Michael Mina from the Harvard T.H Chan School of Public Health  answers questions about how cheap (approx. $1), at-home, COVID-19 tests (results in 15 minutes) could be utilized to dramatically slow the spread of this pandemic (and open up schools etc. in a faster and safer way).

Dr. Mina's research has shown that the sensitivity of these simple saliva paper antigen tests (the technology already exists) is high enough to detect the vast majority of infectious COVID-19 and could be utilized frequently at home.

2. Ivermectin Gastroenterologist Professor Thomas Borody says Ivermectin used in conjunction with two other drugs is making it look like “corona is very simple to kill”. Dr. Borody’s general approach, discussed in his other interviews, makes a lot of sense to me.  When a positive reading occurs they give everyone in the vicinity ["on the block"]  a  course of treatment utilizing Ivermectin. Then, those who  were infected would have been  given the effects equivalent of an immediate fire extinguisher type of counteraction and  those not  infected would have suffered no harm.  [I, have often wondered if that approach  had been taken to nursing homes --where all of the patient’s, staff, visitors could have received the treatment --whether the  terrible death toll could have been avoided.]

Australian Professor: Ivermectin 'Amazingly Successful' in Killing Coronavirus

By Tauren Dyson    |

An Australian drug known as Ivermectin, which is already in use throughout the world to treat parasitic conditions, is showing great results in killing coronavirus in studies involving patients, according to Sky News.

"Because I'm involved in developing these in the U.S. where all the patients are, there are a number of studies that are amazingly successful. We're talking close to 100%. In fact, we haven't seen a result yet under 100%. It looks like corona is very simple to kill,"  Professor Thomas Borody, medical director of Australia's Center for Digestive Disease. "It's available as a prescription medication. You wouldn't use it alone ... but you add two other things to it such as doxycycline and zinc."

Ivermectin is already approved by the FDA and is on the World Health Organization's list of model list of essential medicines.

"We had a 14-hospital trial in Bangladesh. We got [cured] 100 out of 100. In China, they tried to reproduce it. They got 60 out of 60 cured ... So I am behind the Ivermectin, doxycycline, zinc treatment because it has very few side effects and is a real killer of coronavirus," Borody said.

Borody said the Ivermectin tablet could cost as little as $2. He also suggested that to have a cure for the disease easily would do away with the need for people to be hospitalized.
