MORE FAKE NEWS from The New York Times
Unraveling the Russia Story So Far Thursday, September 20, 2018
Travel back to 2016.
On an October afternoon, a huge banner was unfurled from the Manhattan Bridge in New York City: Vladimir V. Putin against a Russian-flag background, and the unlikely word “Peacemaker” below. It was a daredevil happy birthday to the Russian president, who was turning 64.
In November, shortly after Donald J. Trump eked out a victory that Moscow had worked to assist, an even bigger banner appeared, this time on the Arlington Memorial Bridge in Washington: the face of President Barack Obama and “Goodbye Murderer” in big red letters.
Police never identified who had hung the banners, but there were clues. The earliest promoters of the images on Twitter were American-sounding accounts, like @LeroyLovesUSA, that were later exposed as Russian fakes operated from St. Petersburg to influence American voters.
The Kremlin, it appeared, had reached onto United States soil in New York and Washington. The banners may well have been intended as visual victory laps for the most effective foreign interference in an American election in history.
For many Americans, the Trump-Russia story as it has been voluminously reported over the past two years is a confusing tangle of unfamiliar names and cyberjargon, further obscured by the shout-fest of partisan politics. What Robert S. Mueller III, the special counsel in charge of the investigation, may know or may yet discover is still uncertain. President Trump’s Twitter outbursts that the whole thing is a “hoax” and a “witch hunt,” in the face of a mountain of evidence to the contrary, have taken a toll on public comprehension.
But to travel back to 2016 and trace the major plotlines of the Russian attack is to underscore what we now know with certainty: The Russians carried out a landmark intervention that will be examined for decades to come.
The Times explores what we know and what it means.
“As we tried to reconstruct the story, we were struck by how the Russians seemed to accelerate their efforts just as Donald Trump emerged as the likely Republican nominee in the spring of 2016.
Attacking Hillary Clinton, who Putin saw as a personal foe, had always been his plan. But sudd
enly Putin had a candidate he could support – one who had praised the Russian leader, called for closer ties to Russia and declared that NATO was obsolete.” – Scott Shane and Mark Mazzetti

EDITORIAL STATEMENT: THE NEW YORK TIMES IS NOT A FREE PRESS…
IT IS A PURVEYOR OF HATRED AND PROPAGANDA.
A free and honest media is essential to the survival of the United States of America.
The New York Times, which became the "Journal of record" because for years they maintained an index which facilitated utilizing news story records for historical searching has a tremendous amount to apologize for in its past campaigns to mislead the American public.
Examples of their abuse of the American public abound. Some examples:
They denied the Soviet induced famine in Ukraine in which millions perished from a diabolical plot of induced starvation.
While the New York Times Moscow bureau head lived in luxury in Russia, he led the campaign to cover-up the horrific Soviet civil rights abuses. They denied the existence of the horrific prison camps in the Soviet Union.
The information on the Holocaust was, by New York Times policy, suppressed. Thus, hundreds of thousands and maybe millions died due to the New York Times cover-up.
They denied that Castro was a communist and portrayed him to the American public as an" agrarian reformer. Since then they have continued to cover up the multiple atrocities committed by his regime in Cuba.
They lied about Hamas in Gaza and played down the thousands of missiles fired by Hamas against the civilians of Israel.
They willingly joined the Ben Rhodes created echo chamber to sell to the American public a narrative which Ben Rhodes bragged was false in the New York Times knew was false and even published an article in which Ben Rhodes bragged about how he had hoodwinked the gullible media.
They play down the current unfolding scandal within the Obama Department of Justice and the Obama FBI.
Now that it is obvious that the Russian collusion allegations have been a hoax which was purchased by the Democratic national committee they seek to preempt the findings of Robert Mueller with a series of accusations that are known to be false.
A free press is not the enemy of the American people.
HOWEVER, THE NEW YORK TIMES IS NOT A FREE PRESS…
IT IS A PURVEYOR OF HATRED AND PROPAGANDA.
