Dear Fellow American,
Right now, three members of SEAL Team 2 are under siege.
They've been ambushed and attacked. Their names dragged through the mud and their futures put in jeopardy. And, you'll be shocked to know who launched the attack:
Our federal government and the New York Times.
That's right. Chief Dave Swarts, Chief Xavier Silva, and Petty Officer Dan Dambrosio – some of our Nation's finest Warriors – are under attack by the Country they've risked their lives for.
Please, let me explain...
In spring of 2012, SEAL Team 2 was deployed to Uruzgan Province in Afghanistan to providing training and support to the Afghan Local Police (ALP).
On May 31st, the ALP brought in several Taliban insurgents for questioning about an IED blast that killed one of their Afghani officers.
Dave, Xavier, Dan, and their team helped separate the insurgents for what they thought would be routine questioning. But it quickly became clear the Afghan police didn't want information – they wanted revenge.
The ALP guys began abusing their Taliban detainees – hitting, kicking, beating with antennas and hoses, and dropping rocks on them.
The SEALs rushed to stop them. They took over the questioning and safely figured out that the Taliban insurgents were indeed responsible for the deadly IED blast.
The SEALs told the ALP to hold onto the men for more questioning. But instead, oddly enough, the ALP commander released them.
Dave, Xavier, and Dan were shocked. They knew the insurgents would likely be back out on the streets making more IEDs.
So, imagine their shock when they heard that one of the released insurgents allegedly turned up dead the very next day – and that the SEALs were being blamed for his death!
The Navy launched an investigation and after months of review board hearings and testimony, they finally determined that Dave, Xavier, and Dan had done NOTHING wrong.
In fact, they concluded that SEAL Team 2's actions actually stopped further abuse of the detainees by the ALP.
And in November 2012, these Warriors were officially found NOT GUILTY.
But THREE YEARS LATER, the New York Times published an article accusing the members of SEAL Team 2 of war crimes in Afghanistan.
Now, these courageous Navy SEALs need YOUR help to fight back...
...because the Navy launched a new investigation – and Dave, Xavier, and Dan are being court-martialed and have been charged with a variety of felonies including:
- Dave faces 19 years in prison for conspiracy to make a false statement, assault with a deadly weapon, obstruction of justice, and wrongfully discharging a firearm.
- Xavier is charged with various assaults on suspected Taliban bombers, including choking, hitting, and kicking.
- Dan also faces charges for assault and wrongfully discharging a firearm.
Will you help Dave, Xavier, and Dan defend themselves by making an emergency donation of $25, $35, $50, or more today?
My name is David Gurfein and I'm the CEO of the United American Patriots (UAP), a non-profit organization that provides legal defenses for wrongly accused Service Members.
I'm a 25-year veteran of the Marine Corps with several combat tours under my belt. So, I know firsthand that you can't second-guess the decisions our Warriors make in a warzone in the heat of the moment while sitting behind a desk in Washington, DC.
And, you certainly can't prosecute them based on hearsay from the New York Times – years after the fact!
Yet, here are three outstanding Navy SEALs who face bogus "war crimes" charges for carrying out the mission they were assigned. It's disgraceful.
Worse, these young men can't afford to hire the legal team they need to go up against the endless resources of the federal government on their military salaries.
I've spoken with each of their attorneys, and I anticipate the cost of this case will top $450,000 by the trial next spring. It'll be a huge undertaking for the UAP Warrior Fund – but I've personally guaranteed Dave, Xavier, Dan, and their families that UAP will make sure their defenses are fully funded.
We've helped 36 other Service Members clear their names or reduce their sentences, so I know it's possible. But, I'm going to need the help of patriots like you to make sure we have the resources on hand.
That's why I'm asking you to make a special, tax-deductible donation of $25, $35, $50, $100 or more today.
Your generous support today will help cover the costs of investigators, special witnesses, and other legal fees that we incur on behalf of Dave, Xavier, Dan, and our other Service Members.
UAP does not receive any funding from the government and our team operates on a shoestring budget to stretch the value of your dollar further.
So please, follow this link right now to make your best gift to the UAP Warrior Fund to help us defend Dave, Xavier, and Dan.
Dave, Xavier, and Dan have risked their lives time and time again to defend our Country – and continue to today. Dave actually earned a Bronze Star for a recent deployment to Iraq and Xavier and Dan are leaving any day now for another mission.
Surely, these three Warriors deserve better than to be thrown on trial for bogus "war crimes" charges stirred up by the New York Times!
Thank you in advance for your support of Chief Dave Swarts, Chief Xavier Silva, Petty Officer Dan Dambrosio, and United American Patriots.
Semper fi,
David "Bull" Gurfein LtCol, USMCR (Ret.) Chief Executive Officer, United American Patriots
P.S. Navy SEALs Chief Dave Swarts, Chief Xavier Silva, and Petty Officer Dan Dambrosio have been ambushed and second-guessed by political hacks sitting behind a desk in Washington, DC. Now, for fighting for our Country on the battlefield, they face DECADES in prison. Will you help UAP defend these courageous Warriors by making a special donation of $25, $35, $50, or more today? Thank you in advance for your support! |
